HCMC – What do Dutch Lady Vietnam, Van Nistelrooy, Unilever and Neso Vietnam have in common? They are all Dutch! With such questions, Neso Vietnam opened its first monthly “Study in Holland” seminar at the Grand Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City on Saturday 25 October 2008.

During the seminar, Neso introduced the Dutch higher education system and explained some of its strengths such as water management, architecture, design, logistics, hospitality, economics and environmental studies. Neso also provided information on several scholarships, especially the Huygens Scholarship for the 2009-2010 academic year. In addition, an alumnus of Dutch higher education with a MBA of Nyenrode Business University, Mr. Peter Amaczi, the Business Development Director of PriceWaterHouseCoopers Ltd was invited to share his experiences of living and studying in Holland.

The 160 students and parents who attended the seminar were very surprised and content when the director of Neso Vietnam Mr. Stokhof opened the seminar in Vietnamese. Then students joined a small quiz, learned more about Studying in the Netherlands, scholarships and Dutch companies in Vietnam. Dutch Lady Vietnam, one of these Dutch companies has recently become a sponsor of the Orange Tulip Scholarship together with Neso Vietnam to help Vietnamese students study in the field of marketing and food management in the Netherlands.

The reactions from parents, students and educational agents during the seminar show once again the strong interest among Vietnamese to study in the Netherlands. During the seminar, Neso received and responded to numerous questions from attendants about courses for international students and living cost in Holland. Many students have already visited and contacted Neso after the seminar for further information.
