Nuffic, the Netherlands Organization for International Cooperation, is a non-profit, professional organization aimed at making education accessible all over the world. Education is crucial for fostering global socio-economic development, improving the quality of life, and increasing intercultural understanding. Nuffic strives to be the intermediary between the education community of the Netherlands and the international community.
The Netherlands Education Support Office (Neso) Vietnam has been established by Nuffic with funding from the Netherlands Ministry of Education, Culture and Science in February 2006. Nuffic implements the policy of the Netherlands government to internationalise Dutch Higher Education and to increase cross border academic cooperation around the world. Neso Vietnam has a main objective to provide free-of-charge information and consultation to Vietnamese students. Next to this, Neso supports universities of the two countries to cooperate and carry out activities to promote Dutch higher education. There are seven Neso offices worldwide at present, in Vietnam, Indonesia, China, Thailand, Russia, Mexico, Taiwan, and opening soon in Malaysia, India and Brasil
